In an exclusive interview with India Today TV’s Rajdeep Sardesai, former Union minister Arun Shourie spoke about the state of India’s higher judiciary and the contempt of court case against lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan.
Asked if he thinks Prashant Bhushan would reconsider his tweets and apologise to the Supreme Court, Arun Shourie said that would be surprising. The reputation of the Supreme Court is not so fragile as the judges have made it out to be, that some 280 characters on Twitter can destabilise democracy and judiciary in India, said Arun Shourie.
